Steady Resolve

we stand upon cracked pavement,

while the universe hums its indifferent song.

we do not flee from the absurdity that presses against our soles;

instead we turn inward, meeting it with steady resolve,

accepting its weight,

recognizing that life is both fragile and fierce.

in that act we find quiet wisdom;

a willingness to sit with the messiness of ourselves,

to hold contradictions without letting them tear us apart.

our stories become lanterns we carry within,

guiding the moments we dare to confront.

may we also glimpse the light reflected in others,

and celebrate the relentless curiosity,

that refuses to be silenced.
