She Moves the Sky

by M. Joseph Boehler

my love glides into open days, beneath a soft blue sky,

where the wind carries your laughter.

in the sun's gentle embrace stands you, my enchanting rose,

petals unfurl, gleaming on the horizon.

as evening eases into dusk, your smile nudges the blushing clouds;

they tumble, spilling across the horizon, painting the sky a passionate red.

we live beneath an envious moon; here you shine brighter than any star.

our love is velvet; soft, yet clear as pure water freckled with starlight.

dawn wakes us gently; warmly i realize our memories shimmer,

like dew on petals at first light.

there, your kiss lingers—still beating within this heart's flight.

To leave traces that might meet another's path.
