Reset
by M. Joseph Boehler
human awareness drifts,
untethered from the determination that once steadied our way.
our focus fractures:
a prism scattering too many lights,
while the quiet pulse of our own heart,
drowns in the distance.
if horizons tremble with the unknown,
we must act now with wonder,
with curiosity that shatters complacency's shell.
sharp insights cut through static,
remapping the coordinates of our inner self,
resetting our bearings within the place of existence we occupy.
only a vision rising above self-centered limits
can draw us from the brink;
else we cling to a past that no longer sustains,
or chase imagined horizons that never arrive.
the moment of hesitation has passed;
time belongs to those who reclaim purpose,
advancing while aligned, open, and listening;
steadying awareness, we rise from the drift.
